The nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Toss the pecans in a bowl with maple syrup, salt, and optional pepper.
  3. Spread the pecans on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Bake for 7 minutes, then stir and continue roasting for an additional 3-7 minutes until golden and caramelized.
  5. Remove from the oven, toss again, and let cool completely before breaking apart.
