The pecans

raw pecan halves

vanilla extract or 1 tablespoon bourbon

ground cinnamon or 1 tablespoon pumpkin spice blend

cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 325°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix maple syrup, melted butter, salt, vanilla, cinnamon, and cayenne.
Add the pecans to the bowl and stir to coat them evenly.
Spread the pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes, then stir every 5 minutes until golden, about 23 to 26 minutes.
Remove from the oven, stir again, and let cool for about 10 minutes before separating any clumps.
Allow the pecans to cool completely before storing.
