Ingredients

The nuts

  • 3 cups Pecan Halves

The coating

  • ¼ cup Maple Syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter or Plant-Based Butter (melted)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Sea Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Bourbon
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine pecans, maple syrup, melted butter, sea salt, bourbon, and cinnamon, stirring to coat the pecans.
  4. Spread the pecans in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 23-25 minutes, tossing after 10 minutes for even cooking.
  6. Once toasted and dark, remove from the oven and let cool.
  7. Stir the pecans to coat them in the hardened maple syrup, then let them cool completely.
  8. Serve and enjoy, or store in an airtight container.
