  • 3 cups pecan halves

The sweetener and spices

  • cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350º F.
  2. Mix the pecan halves with the maple syrup in a large bowl.
  3. Add the spices and toss to coat the pecans.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the pecans in a single layer.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, until toasted.
  6. Cool the pecans on the baking sheet, breaking apart any that stick together.
  7. Store the cooled pecans in an airtight container.
