Ingredients

The nuts

The coating

  • 1 each egg white
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk the egg white in a medium bowl until frothy.
  3. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, salt, and vanilla extract to the egg white and stir until combined.
  4. Add the pecans to the mixture and stir until they are fully coated.
  5. Pour the coated pecans onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
  6. Bake the pecans, flipping them occasionally, until the coating is dry, about 30 minutes.
  7. Allow the pecans to cool completely before serving.
