Ingredients

The nuts

The coating

  • 1 large egg white
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the egg white, water, and vanilla until frothy.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Add the pecans to the egg white mixture and coat them evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the pecans and toss to coat.
  6. Spread the coated pecans onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
  7. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes, then let cool.
