Broiled Salmon in a Simple Marinade

Ingredients

The Salmon

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pound salmon, cut into 4 fillets
  • to taste fresh herbs for topping

Lemon Butter Sauce (Optional)

  • 3 tablespoons butter or ghee
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • to taste salt

Instructions

  1. Mix olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Add salmon fillets to the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the broiler and coat a baking sheet with non-stick spray.
  4. Transfer marinated salmon to the baking sheet, skin-side down.
  5. Broil salmon for 10 to 12 minutes until flaky and opaque.
  6. For the optional lemon butter sauce, combine all sauce ingredients in a saucepan and simmer until combined.
  7. Serve salmon with the lemon butter sauce or on the side.
