Easy Broiled Salmon

Ingredients

The salmon

  • 4 fillets salmon

The mustard sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1-2 teaspoons fresh thyme, minced
  • 1-2 teaspoons rosemary, minced
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1-2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan, add oil and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add minced thyme and rosemary, then turn off the heat and mix in mustard and lemon juice.
  3. Preheat the broiler and adjust the oven rack to the center position.
  4. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper and spray with cooking spray.
  5. Pat the salmon fillets dry, season with salt and pepper, and place on the baking sheet.
  6. Drizzle the butter mustard sauce over the fillets.
  7. Broil for 3 minutes, then flip the fillets, baste with sauce, and broil for another 3 minutes until fork tender.
