Ingredients

The pasta and sauce

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground spicy Italian sausage
  • 3 cups marinara sauce

The cheese mixture

  • 4 large eggs
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup whole milk cottage cheese
  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese
  • cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Other ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Boil salted water and cook the spaghetti until al dente, then drain.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, parsley, and Parmesan cheese.
  4. Return the hot spaghetti to the pot and mix in the butter and egg mixture until coated.
  5. Add the cottage cheese and cream cheese to the spaghetti and combine.
  6. Transfer the spaghetti mixture to the baking dish.
  7. In a skillet, brown the sausage over medium heat, then mix in the marinara sauce.
  8. Spread the sausage mixture over the spaghetti, then layer with mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes until the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
  10. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
