Ingredients

The chicken

  • 2.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast or thighs

The sauce

  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • ¼ cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

The spices

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to the slow cooker.
  2. Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  3. Shred the chicken using two forks and top with extra barbecue sauce if desired.
