Ingredients

The shrimp

  • 1 lb. jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ teaspoon Chinese five spice

The sauce

  • tablespoons grape seed oil
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 3 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chili paste
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Peel and devein the shrimp, then season with Chinese five spice and toss to coat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix raw honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili paste, and minced garlic.
  3. Heat grape seed oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook half the shrimp for 1 minute on each side, then remove.
  4. Cook the remaining shrimp for 1 minute on each side, then return the first batch to the skillet.
  5. Pour the sauce over the shrimp, toss to coat, and sauté for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and serve, garnished with sliced green onions.
