Ingredients

The base

  • 14 oz diced canned tomatoes
  • 14 oz gluten free spicy ground sausage or meat
  • 2–3 tablespoon chopped green chilies
  • ½ cup chopped dried Turkish apricots
  • 2–3 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp cream
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 dash onion salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1 dash lemon juice
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes

Toppings

  • 2 pieces hard or soft boiled eggs
  • 6 oz organic milk yogurt or goat's milk yogurt

Instructions

  1. Drain the tomatoes and green chilies if using canned.
  2. In a skillet, combine tomatoes, ground sausage, and chilies over medium heat for a few minutes.
  3. Add cream, spices, diced apricots, and parsley (reserve some for garnish) and cook for 10 minutes until the meat is thoroughly cooked.
  4. Stir in lemon juice to enhance the spices.
  5. Remove from heat and serve 1 cup of the mixture in individual bowls.
  6. Top each bowl with half a boiled egg and yogurt.
  7. Garnish with extra parsley, bacon crumbles, and serve with flatbread or naan.
