Sous Vide Flank Steak

Ingredients

The steak

  • 1 ½ to 2 ½ pounds flank steak

The seasoning

  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

The cooking oil and sauce

  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Season both sides of the flank steak with salt, garlic powder, and oregano.
  2. Place the steak in a vacuum sealer bag and add avocado oil and soy sauce, then seal the bag.
  3. Refrigerate overnight or proceed immediately.
  4. Preheat the sous vide water bath to 125°F.
  5. Submerge the sealed bag in the water bath and cook for 2 to 2 ½ hours.
  6. Remove the steak from the water and the bag, then pat dry and let rest for 10 minutes.
  7. Preheat your grill, griddle, or skillet to medium-high heat.
  8. Sear the steak for about 3 to 4 minutes, flipping every minute until golden brown.
