Ingredients

Marinade

  • 1 ½ to 2 pounds flank steak
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the marinade ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Place the steak in a dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring even coverage.
  3. Marinate in the refrigerator for 4 hours.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and pat dry, then season with salt and pepper.
  5. Preheat the oven to 225°F and place the steak on a rack over a baking sheet.
  6. Cook the steak for 25 to 35 minutes until it reaches the desired internal temperature.
  7. Heat the avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for about 5 minutes, turning frequently.
  8. Remove from heat and let the steak rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
