Ingredients

The steak

  • 32 ounces flank steak

The marinade

  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

For searing

  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sous vide bag by mixing the marinade ingredients in a bowl and pouring it over the flank steak in the bag.
  2. Vacuum seal the bag and fully submerge it in the sous vide water bath set to 135°F.
  3. Cook the steak for 2 hours, then remove it from the water bath and discard the marinade.
  4. Heat butter in a skillet and sear the steak for a couple of minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
