Ingredients

The beef

  • ½ lb American Wagyu Chuck Eye Roll Steak
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

The garlic butter

  • ½ tablespoon salted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Mix the garlic butter ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate.
  3. Heat a cast-iron skillet until smoking and add the oil.
  4. Sear one side of the steak for 2 minutes, then sear the fatty edge.
  5. Flip the steak and sear the other side for another 2 minutes.
  6. Transfer the steak to a plate and top with garlic butter before serving.
