Instructions
- Prepare the sauce by combining soy sauce, water, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, honey, sesame oil, and rice vinegar in a pot over medium-high heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then mix cornstarch with cold water and add it to the sauce, boiling until thickened.
- Soak bamboo skewers in cold water for 30 minutes.
- Thread the chicken pieces onto the soaked skewers and season with salt and pepper, brushing with vegetable oil.
- Preheat the grill to medium heat and cook the chicken for 4 minutes per side.
- Baste the chicken with the sauce and cook for an additional 2 minutes per side.
- Apply more sauce and cook for another minute per side, then sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
