Cheesy Baked Ziti

Ingredients

The pasta

  • 1 lb ziti pasta

The cheese

  • 2 cups vegan ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded vegan mozzarella

The sauce

  • 2 24 ounce jars Rao’s Homemade Marinara Sauce

The protein

  • 9-12 ounces vegan meat alternative crumbles

Garnish

  • to taste basil

Instructions

  1. Cook the ziti pasta according to package directions in salted water and drain.
  2. Lightly grease a 13” x 9” pan and set aside.
  3. In a pan over medium heat, add both jars of marinara sauce and heat for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Add the drained pasta and vegan meat alternative crumbles to the sauce, stirring to combine.
  5. Spread half of the pasta and sauce mixture in the greased pan, then spoon half of the ricotta on top.
  6. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese on top of the ricotta.
  7. Add the remaining pasta mixture, dollop the rest of the ricotta, and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Bake at 400°F for 15-20 minutes until everything is heated through and the cheese melts.
  9. Top with basil and serve.
