Ingredients

  • 1 cup blanched almond flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon arrowroot starch
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the waffle iron.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients and whisk until smooth.
  3. Grease the waffle iron with spray oil.
  4. Pour 1/4 cup of batter into the center of the waffle iron.
  5. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, or until the waffles are done.
  6. Carefully remove the waffle and repeat with the remaining batter to make a total of 5 waffles.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
