raw almonds, chopped finely
Instructions
- Line a small loaf pan with parchment paper and spread the chopped almonds in it.
- In a small saucepan, combine the butter and sweetener over medium heat until melted and dissolved.
- Once the mixture bubbles, use a candy thermometer and stir until it reaches 300°F.
- Remove from heat and pour the toffee mixture into the lined pan, letting it sit.
- After a few minutes, top with chocolate chips and cover with foil for 5 minutes.
- Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the toffee and refrigerate until firm.
- Once firm, break the toffee into pieces.
