Ingredients

The chicken

  • 2 pieces bone-in, skin-on chicken legs

The seasoning

  • 1 Tbsp butter (room temperature)
  • ½ Tbsp lemon pepper seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F and prepare a casserole dish with non-stick spray.
  2. Pat the chicken dry and smear butter over the skin.
  3. Sprinkle lemon pepper seasoning on both sides of the chicken.
  4. Place the chicken in the casserole dish and cover with aluminum foil.
  5. Bake for one hour at 300°F, basting halfway through.
  6. After an hour, remove the foil, baste again, and increase the temperature to 425°F.
  7. Bake for an additional 20-30 minutes until the skin is browned to your liking.
  8. Serve with the juices spooned over the chicken.
