Ingredients

Chicken Seasoning

  • 3 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoon cumin
  • 1 ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ¾ teaspoon ground pepper
  • ¾ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¾ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¾ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 ½ teaspoon brown sugar

Chicken Legs

  • ¼ cup chicken seasoning
  • 1.25 lbs chicken legs
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425ºF and prepare a wire rack on a baking sheet.
  2. Spray the wire rack with non-stick cooking spray and pour ¼ cup of water onto the baking sheet to prevent burning.
  3. Coat each chicken leg in the seasoning mixture until fully covered.
  4. Place the chicken legs on the wire rack and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Bake for 40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165ºF.
  6. Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before serving.
