Spicy Hummus

Ingredients

The hummus

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 1 squeeze fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne (start small)

Toppings

  • to taste extra cayenne
  • to taste feta cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, salt, and cayenne in a food processor and blend until a thick paste forms.
  2. While processing, add olive oil gradually and then add water, one tablespoon at a time, until the mixture is smooth and spreadable.
  3. Top with extra cayenne and feta cheese before serving.
