Ingredients

The truffle filling

  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons coconut butter
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla stevia
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • ¾ cup cacao powder

The truffle shell

  • ½ cup cacao butter
  • ¼ cup cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • teaspoon vanilla stevia

Instructions

  1. Combine coconut oil and coconut butter in a food processor.
  2. Pulse in honey, stevia, and orange zest.
  3. Pulse in cacao powder until mixed well.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes until firm.
  5. Use a teaspoon to scoop out the mixture and roll into balls.
  6. Place the rolled truffles on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
  7. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the cacao butter.
  8. Stir in cacao powder, honey, and stevia to make the shell.
  9. Dip each truffle in the shell mixture using a toothpick.
  10. Chill the dipped truffles for one hour.
  11. Top with coarse sea salt if desired, then serve.
