Homemade Garlic Bread

Ingredients

The spread

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 3-4 cloves garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon Creole seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon finely minced fresh parsley

The bread

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, Creole seasoning, salt, and parsley until combined.
  3. Slice the French bread vertically into 1-inch thick slices, stopping just before cutting through the bottom.
  4. Spread the butter mixture generously on the top and sides of the bread slices.
  5. If using cheese, sprinkle it between the slices.
  6. Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet, then bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Unwrap the top of the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to toast the top.
  8. Serve warm.
