Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and set aside.
- In a smaller bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, and baking powder, then combine with melted butter to form clumps.
- Layer the sugared apples in a 9x13 baking dish and sprinkle the oatmeal mixture on top without packing it tightly.
- Bake uncovered for 50-60 minutes until the apples are soft and the sauce is bubbly.
- If browning too much, cover with foil for the remaining cooking time.
- Let cool for 20-30 minutes before serving.
