Instructions
- Prepare the crisp topping by mixing flour, oats, brown sugar, walnuts, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl, then drizzle melted butter over and combine. Refrigerate while preparing the filling.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking dish with nonstick spray or butter.
- In a large bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt, then add apple slices and toss to coat.
- Pour the apple mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the topping over it.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes until the topping is golden and the juices are bubbling. Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
