Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan and whisk in flour until smooth.
- Gradually add warm milk and bring to a quick boil, then simmer for about five minutes.
- Stir in gruyere and parmesan until melted, then whisk in spices and combine.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Cube the French bread and pack it into an oven-safe dish.
- Pour cheese sauce over the bread, then add the shaved ham evenly.
- Top with provolone slices and drizzle with remaining cheese sauce.
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes and serve hot.
