Ingredients

The muffins

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda

  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup nonfat milk
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 ½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon pure almond extract

The glaze

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 ¼ cups powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tablespoons orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and prepare a muffin tin.
  2. Mix sugar with orange zest until fragrant, then add dry ingredients.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together wet ingredients including eggs, yogurt, milk, butter, extracts, and orange juice.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently without overmixing.
  5. Fill muffin cups and bake for 12-14 minutes until done.
  6. Cool muffins briefly in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. Prepare the glaze and drizzle over cooled muffins.
