Ingredients

The peanuts

  • pounds peanuts (raw, in-shell, not roasted)

The seasoning

  • 3 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon Creole Seasoning (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper

The water

  • to fill amount water

Instructions

  1. Rinse the peanuts thoroughly and place them in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Fill the slow cooker with water about three-quarters of the way to the top.
  3. Sprinkle the salt and other seasonings on top of the peanuts.
  4. Set the slow cooker to high and cook for 6 to 7 hours, stirring occasionally.
  5. Drain the peanuts and serve warm, or refrigerate for up to 4 or 5 days.
