Ingredients

The apples

  • 2 to 3 apples apples (about 1 lb)

The seasoning

  • ¼ to ½ tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. 1. Place oven racks in the upper and lower third of the oven and preheat to 200 degrees.
  2. 2. Line two baking sheets with silicone baking mats or parchment paper.
  3. 3. Remove the stem from the apples and slice them thinly using a mandoline.
  4. 4. Align the apple slices on the baking sheets without overlapping.
  5. 5. Lightly dust the apple slices with cinnamon.
  6. 6. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, then rotate the pans and bake for an additional 1 to 1 hour and 15 minutes until dry and crisp.
  7. 7. Let the apple chips cool before storing them in an airtight container.
