Ingredients

The apples

  • 3 large sweet crisp apples, such as Honeycrisp, Fuji, Jazz, or Pink Lady

The seasoning

  • ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F.
  2. Wash the apples and core them.
  3. Slice the apples horizontally into 1/8 inch-thick rounds.
  4. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer on parchment-lined baking sheets.
  5. Sprinkle the apple slices with cinnamon.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, then switch the position of the baking sheets in the oven.
  7. Continue baking for an additional 1 to 1½ hours until the chips are crisp.
  8. Turn off the oven and let the chips cool in the oven for 1 hour.
