Ingredients

The apples

  • 3-5 small apples

The seasoning

  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
  2. Core the apples and thinly slice them using a mandolin.
  3. Arrange the apple slices on the baking sheets without overlapping.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar together.
  5. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the apple slices.
  6. Place the baking sheets in the oven, one on the top rack and one below it, and bake for 2½ hours, switching the positions halfway through.
  7. Turn off the oven and leave the apple chips inside for another hour to finish dehydrating.
  8. Remove the apple chips from the oven and let them cool completely before eating.
