Instructions
- Cut the French bread loaf into cubes.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, whipping cream, sugar, brown sugar, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
- For the Bananas Foster sauce, heat a pan to medium heat and add butter until melted.
- Add brown sugar and sugar to the pan and stir until caramelized.
- Slice the bananas and add them to the pan along with cinnamon and whipping cream, stirring until creamy.
- Remove the sauce from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- In a baking pan, layer cubed French bread, then top with the egg mixture and half of the Bananas Foster sauce. Repeat the layers.
- Push the ingredients down to ensure the bread is soaked, cover, and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours.
- For the crumble topping, mix flour, cinnamon, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly.
- Spread the crumble over the casserole and bake at 350°F for 50 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
