Ingredients

The casserole

  • 1 lb. French Bread Loaf
  • 8 Large Organic Eggs
  • 2 cups Whipping Cream
  • cup Sugar
  • cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ cup Evaporated milk
  • 1 tbsp. Vanilla Extract
  • ½ tsp. Ground Cinnamon

The Bananas Foster sauce

  • 3 Organic Ripe Bananas
  • ½ cup Butter
  • cup Brown Sugar
  • cup Sugar
  • ¼ cup Whipping Cream
  • ¼ tsp. Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. Vanilla Extract

The crumble topping

  • cup All Purpose Flour
  • cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ tsp. Ground Cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp. Butter (Soft)

Instructions

  1. Cut the French bread loaf into cubes.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, whipping cream, sugar, brown sugar, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
  3. For the Bananas Foster sauce, heat a pan to medium heat and add butter until melted.
  4. Add brown sugar and sugar to the pan and stir until caramelized.
  5. Slice the bananas and add them to the pan along with cinnamon and whipping cream, stirring until creamy.
  6. Remove the sauce from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  7. In a baking pan, layer cubed French bread, then top with the egg mixture and half of the Bananas Foster sauce. Repeat the layers.
  8. Push the ingredients down to ensure the bread is soaked, cover, and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours.
  9. For the crumble topping, mix flour, cinnamon, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly.
  10. Spread the crumble over the casserole and bake at 350°F for 50 minutes.
  11. Serve immediately.
