Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 170 degrees.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat, then reduce to medium-low.
- Dip two pieces of bread into the egg mixture, allowing them to soak briefly.
- Transfer the soaked bread to the skillet and cook for about two minutes on one side, then flip.
- Place half a sliced banana on top of one piece of bread and cover with the other slice, cooked side down.
- Cook the sandwich for about two minutes until browned, then flip and cook the other side for another two minutes.
- Remove the French toast and keep warm in the oven while repeating with remaining bread.
- Serve warm with maple syrup or berry sauce.
