Thick and Sweet Teriyaki Sauce

cornstarch

water (for cornstarch slurry)
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, whisk together cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
Combine the cornstarch mixture with all other ingredients in the saucepan.
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium-high heat, watching closely to prevent boiling over.
Once simmering, reduce heat to medium and stir occasionally for 5 to 10 minutes until thickened.
Allow the sauce to cool slightly before using or storing.
