Ingredients

The popcorn

  • 4 cups popped popcorn

The spices

  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • a pinch cayenne

The coating

  • 2 Tbsp butter (melted)
  • 3 ounces dark or semisweet chocolate (melted)

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn on the stove with high-heat oil until popping slows down.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together chili powder, cumin, salt, and cayenne.
  3. Toss the popped popcorn with melted butter and the spice mixture until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the popcorn on wax paper or a foil-covered baking sheet.
  5. Drizzle melted chocolate over the popcorn and let it rest for 15 minutes to cool.
