Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Add the chocolate chips and mix well.
- Gradually incorporate the eggs and egg whites to form a dough; add another egg white if the dough is too dry.
- Divide the dough into two or three logs and place them on the lined baking sheets.
- Bake for 20 minutes, then allow to cool slightly.
- Slice the loaves at an angle into ½ inch slices using a serrated knife.
- Return the slices to the baking sheets and bake for an additional 3-4 minutes on each side.
