Ingredients

The Sangria

  • 3 sticks cinnamon
  • 2 apples Honeycrisp apples, sliced
  • 1 orange thinly sliced
  • 1 bottle red wine (750 ml)
  • cups fresh apple cider
  • ½ cup brandy
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • to taste club soda

Optional Garnish

  • 3 Tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Combine cinnamon sticks, apple slices, and orange slices in a large pitcher.
  2. Add red wine, apple cider, brandy, orange juice, and lemon juice to the pitcher.
  3. Refrigerate for 6 to 24 hours to allow flavors to meld.
  4. For a cinnamon-sugar rim, mix sugar and cinnamon, moisten the rim of glasses, and dip in the mixture.
  5. Serve the sangria with a splash of club soda and garnish with a cinnamon stick if desired.
