The sauce

Instructions
- Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and white wine, then simmer on low heat until the sauce reduces slightly.
- Season the sauce with salt and turn off the heat.
- Season the scallops with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and pan-sear the scallops for 1–2 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
- Transfer the scallops to a serving platter, spoon the sauce over them, and garnish with parsley.
- Serve immediately.
