Instructions
- Prepare the spiced cranberry syrup by combining water, sugar, fresh cranberries, cinnamon, star anise, and orange zest in a saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a slow boil over medium heat for 3 minutes, stirring to prevent the cranberries from bursting.
- Strain the syrup into a glass jar and refrigerate for 5-10 minutes to cool.
- To make the cocktail, add ice, whiskey, lemon juice, spiced cranberry syrup, cranberry juice, orange bitters, and egg white to a cocktail shaker.
- Shake vigorously until the shaker is frosty, then strain into a coupe glass.
- Garnish with fresh cranberries, a rosemary sprig, and an orange slice.
