Ingredients

The bagels

  • 1 each assortment of bagels

The toppings

  • sliced cucumbers
  • sliced tomatoes
  • to taste capers
  • sliced red onion
  • to taste avocado
  • sliced hard boiled eggs
  • sliced radishes
  • to taste arugula or greens for plating
  • to taste fresh dill or chives
  • sliced lemon
  • to taste kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • to taste finishing salt
  • to taste everything bagel seasoning
  • to taste jams, nutella or nut butters

Instructions

  1. Pick up fresh bagels from a bagel store the morning of the party and ask for them to be pre-sliced.
  2. Arrange the bagels on a platter or large bowl.
  3. Shop for the bagel toppings a day or two before the party and prep sliced ingredients the night before if serving for breakfast.
  4. Lay a bed of greens on a large platter or board and arrange the toppings on top with serving utensils.
  5. Serve the cream cheese in small bowls and provide enough knives for spreading.
  6. Encourage guests to help themselves and enjoy the brunch.
