Ingredients

The marinade

  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

The prawns

  • 1 lb. large prawns or jumbo shrimp

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade by whisking together garlic, gochujang, vinegar, sesame oil, honey, and soy sauce in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add the prawns to the marinade, toss to coat, and let marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  3. Preheat the oven to broil and arrange the marinated prawns on a baking sheet without touching.
  4. Broil the prawns for 2-3 minutes on each side until they start to curl, then remove immediately to prevent overcooking.
  5. Serve the prawns on their own or over rice.
