Instructions
- Place eggs in a medium-sized pot without overcrowding.
- Fill the pot with cold water so it covers the eggs by 1 inch.
- Bring the water to a boil over high heat.
- Once boiling, cover the pot and remove it from heat.
- Start your timer based on how you like your eggs cooked: 4-6 minutes for soft, 7-8 minutes for medium, and 10-12 minutes for hard-boiled.
- After the timer goes off, use a slotted spoon to transfer the eggs to an ice water bath.
- Let the eggs cool in the ice bath to stop the cooking process.
