Perfect Chunky Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 2 large avocados
  • ½ medium white onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small roma tomato, finely chopped
  • 2 small cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ fresh jalapeño, de-seeded and finely chopped (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp. cilantro, finely chopped (optional)
  • ½ lime freshly squeezed juice
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

  1. Halve the avocados, remove the pits, and peel the skins off.
  2. Chop the avocado flesh into smaller cubes and add to a large bowl.
  3. Add the chopped onion, tomato, garlic, and jalapeño to the bowl.
  4. Use a potato masher to mash the ingredients into the avocado.
  5. Add the cilantro and lime juice, and stir with a spoon.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, stir thoroughly, and adjust to taste.
  7. Serve immediately.
