Instructions
- Rinse and drain the jackfruit, sort the pieces, and remove the tougher core.
- Shred the jackfruit into small pieces using hands or forks.
- Sauté onion and garlic in a skillet until golden brown.
- Blend the sautéed onion and garlic with vegetable broth, cashew milk, chipotle, maple syrup, lime juice, salt, coconut aminos, and smoked paprika until smooth.
- Toss the shredded jackfruit with salt and pepper, then mix in the sauce.
- Marinate the jackfruit for at least 15-20 minutes, or up to 5 days.
- Cook the marinated jackfruit in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown, adding more sauce as desired.
- Serve with optional toppings like red cabbage, radish, cilantro, and lime.
