Ingredients

  • 5 bags black tea
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 2/3 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 4 cups cold water
  • a few sprigs mint

Instructions

  1. Place the tea bags, mint, and sugar in a large pitcher.
  2. Pour boiling water over the mixture and let it steep for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove the mint and tea bags, squeezing the bags to extract the liquid.
  4. Add the lemon juice and cold water to the mixture.
  5. Chill until ready to serve, then serve over ice.
