Ingredients

Chocolate Almond Milk

  • cups raw almonds
  • 4 cups water for soaking
  • 4 cups water
  • 4-6 pieces dates
  • cup unsweetened cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla bean seeds
  • 1 pinch salt

Creamy Coffee Ice Cubes

  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 3 tablespoons malted milk powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla bean seeds
  • 1 cup strong black coffee

Instructions

  1. Soak the almonds in 4 cups of water overnight or for at least 1 hour.
  2. Drain and rinse the almonds, then blend with 4 cups of water and dates until finely ground.
  3. Strain the mixture through cheese cloth or a nut milk bag to extract the milk.
  4. Blend the extracted milk with cacao powder, vanilla bean seeds, and salt until smooth.
  5. Store the almond milk in a jar in the fridge for up to a week.
  6. To make the coffee ice cubes, blend coconut milk, malt powder, and vanilla bean seeds until smooth.
  7. Pour the mixture into ice cube molds, fill with coffee, and freeze for 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Serve the chocolate almond milk with the coffee ice cubes.
