Ingredients

The base

  • cups raw almonds
  • 3½-4 cups filtered water

The chocolate

  • 1 cup dairy-free dark or semisweet chocolate, chopped

Instructions

  1. Soak the almonds in warm water overnight or in boiling water for 1 hour.
  2. Drain and rinse the almonds under cool running water.
  3. Blend the almonds with filtered water until creamy.
  4. Strain the blended mixture using a nut milk bag, cheesecloth, or a thin towel.
  5. Melt the chocolate in a microwave or double boiler.
  6. Combine a portion of almond milk with the melted chocolate to create a sauce.
  7. Whisk the chocolate sauce into the remaining almond milk until well combined.
  8. Store the chocolate almond milk in a container in the fridge.
