Ingredients

The base

  • 1 cup raw almonds, soaked for 6-8 hours
  • 4 cups filtered water

The flavoring

  • 4 Medjool dates, pitted (or 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse the soaked almonds, then blend them with 4 cups of fresh water until creamy.
  2. Strain the blended milk using a nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer to extract all the liquid from the pulp.
  3. Return the strained milk to the blender, add the dates, vanilla, and sea salt, and blend until smooth.
  4. Taste and adjust the flavor as needed, then transfer the milk to a storage container.
  5. Serve immediately or chill in the fridge until ready to use.
